The saying “only human” should be changed to “uniquely human.” Yes we all make mistakes and it’s time we decide to quit running from it. Mistakes shouldn’t be feared but rather accepted as the coming of knowledge. I welcome it. Mistakes are always focused on by those who fear the unknown. Mistakes are remembered as a black stain instead of a turning point of knowledge. That is disgusting. Even more disgusting are those who harp on the mistakes in order to belittle the good and even the great.

Uniquely human. The ability to create mass change in a tangible world. We can do what angels never could.

I’m thinking about the impact of one man. I’m reading all the good and bad about him in the media. He was a national treasure not for his products but for his willingness to make mistakes to find “a better way” as he put it. He reminds me that life should never be lived in a fear of failing but in a fear of accepting “it is what it is.” He put who he was into his products. We all should PUT WHO WE ARE INTO EVERYTHING WE DO, or else we leave this world untouched. The travesty in human history are the many that come and go without putting who they are into the world around them. The world needs you to be you. You can spend your time shooting holes in everything but remember that kingdoms aren’t built this way rather they are torn down this way. Steve’s crowning achievement in technology was bringing life and culture to a stale market. This is something we should all take note of, bring your life and your culture to everything you touch.
